MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive has issued a public notice advising residents and motorists of a temporary road closure due to storm drain repairs.
According to town officials, West Maple Street between Southwest Center Street and South Chestnut Street is closed to traffic while repair work is underway.
The closure took effect immediately following the town’s announcement on Wednesday, October 21, and is expected to remain in place until 5 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use alternate routes, allow additional travel time, and exercise caution near the repair site.
The Town of Mount Olive appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as crews complete the necessary storm drain repairs.
