October 10, 2026, 79, Fremont – Mavis Kathleen Mooring, 79 years old of Fremont, NC went home to her heavenly reward on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lewis Mooring; her sons and their spouses, Donnie and Tami Mooring, Robert and Pam Mooring and Travis and Courtney Mooring, all of Fremont; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four loving sisters, Lois Gardner, Gayle Pate and husband, Kenneth, Aileen Mooring and Dale Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa and Dock Robinson, sister, Bessie Stanley and a special grandson, Randal Fulghum.
Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She loved her Lord and was ready to meet him.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will greet friends following the service.
