September 9, 2026, 82, Goldsboro – Vicky Tart Lynch, age 82, of Goldsboro, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
Vicky was born in Harnett County on October 27, 1943, to the late Victor Fidelis Tart and Margileen Parker Tart. For many years, she worked as a seamstress with Blue Bell Manufacturing in Wilson.
Vicky was a devoted and dedicated member of Blended Fellowship Christian Church in Goldsboro. Her church was much more than a place she attended—it was an important part of her life and an extension of the love she had for others. She faithfully supported the ministries of the church and was a member of the Deaf Hand Sign Choir.
Vicky had an especially tender heart for her friends within the deaf community. She never hesitated to help someone in need. Whether it meant providing a ride to a doctor’s appointment, offering financial assistance, lending a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed a friend, Vicky gave freely and sincerely from her heart. She did not need a special occasion or reason to help; if she saw a need and had a way to meet it, she did what she could.
Children also held an especially precious place in Vicky’s heart. She simply loved children and delighted in being around them. Her compassion was not limited to family, church members, or close friends. Her life was one of generosity, service, and kindness, and countless people were touched by the giving heart she possessed. In addition, Vicky loved her pets deeply, and they were a blessing to her.
Vicky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alton Lee Lynch; her parents, Victor Fidelis Tart and Margileen Parker Tart; siblings, Janet Esther Tart and Kyle Fidelis Tart; and brother-in-law, Rodney Paul.
She is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Keith Frederick Tart and wife, Rosalyn, Curtis Phillip Tart and wife, Wanda, Dwight Franklin Tart and wife, Ernestine, Bruce Gregory Tart and wife, Dale, and Timothy Preston Tart and wife, Mari Estela; her sister, Andrea Paul and sister-in-law, Joanne Tart. She also leaves behind her much-loved church family at Blended Fellowship Christian Church and the many special friends within the deaf community who held such an important place in her heart.
A service to celebrate Vicky’s life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 am at Blended Fellowship Christian Church 2091 Big Daddy’s Road Pikeville, NC, with Pastor Doug Seymour officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery 211 Irwin Drive, Newton Grove, NC 28366. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Flowers are welcome, or those wishing to honor Vicky’s memory may make a memorial contribution to Blended Fellowship Christian Church, P.O. Box 448, Pikeville, North Carolina 27863
Vicky, gave without expecting anything in return, and through that generosity she left a lasting imprint upon her church, her deaf community, her family, and all those fortunate enough to know her.
