GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 56-year-old Goldsboro man has been arrested on multiple charges involving the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile, and investigators believe there could be additional victims, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Police said the department received a report on July 18, 2025, concerning the alleged statutory rape and sexual abuse of a juvenile female over a period of several years, from approximately 2002 until 2013.
During the investigation, police identified Cedric Antoine McMannus, 56, of Goldsboro, as the suspect.
McMannus was arrested on Aug. 21, 2026, and charged with two counts of Statutory Rape of a 13-, 14- or 15-year-old by a person six years older, Felony Child Abuse – Sex Act, and Indecent Liberties with a Child.
McMannus made his first court appearance on Aug. 24 and was denied bond, according to police.
Investigators said they believe there may be additional victims involving similar alleged crimes.
