GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Friday Night Lights are moving to Thursday night for the second consecutive week as the threat of severe weather forces another schedule change for high school football in Wayne County.
This week’s Pittman Agner Law High School Football Game of the Week on FM 98.3 WGBR will feature the Eastern Wayne Warriors marching into Hardy Talton Stadium to take on the Charles B. Aycock Golden Falcons in the “Battle of the Blues.”
Both teams enter Week 2 coming off impressive victories in their season openers and will be looking to keep the momentum rolling — with Wayne County bragging rights on the line.
The Warriors will make the trip to Pikeville looking to spoil the Golden Falcons’ home field advantage, while C.B. Aycock will look to defend Hardy Talton Stadium and pick up its second win of the young season.
The action begins Thursday night with the UNC Health Wayne Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m., followed by kickoff at 7 p.m.
Barry Stallings, the Voice of Wayne County Football, and Harlon Neal will have the call from Hardy Talton Stadium.
