August 19, 84, Goldsboro-Gloria Judith Hull, 84, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Gaston County on January 31, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John Roscoe Payseur and Lottie Gray Smith Payseur.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Smith Payseur.
Judy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jimmy Hull; daughters, Laura Romo (Dave), Sherry Waters (Garry), Lisa Hull, and Christina Page (Shawn); grandchildren, David Romo (Anna), Daniel Romo (Sarah), Elizabeth Romo, LeeAnn Julien (Matt), Sydney Whitaker (Dallin), Blake Waters (Bailee), Emily Barwick (Billy), Conrad Hull, Julian Hull, and Jack Page; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Johnny Payseur (Sharon).
Judy was a woman whose life was richly woven with faith, family, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the stories that connect generations. She cherished her family and took great joy in making memories with those she loved most.
One of Judy’s greatest passions was researching her family tree and genealogy. She treasured discovering the lives and stories of those who came before her and took pride in preserving that history for future generations. Her love of family extended into the many vacations and travels she enjoyed, especially the special trips and adventures shared with her grandchildren.
Judy loved the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends to play games and was especially known for her skill at the bridge table. She had a competitive spirit and a sharp mind, making her a formidable and much-loved bridge player. She also enjoyed shopping with her family, particularly when the search resulted in finding a good bargain.
Judy was also a proud military wife. During her husband’s 27 years of service in the United States Air Force, she faithfully supported him and embraced the life that came with being part of a military family. She moved many times throughout their years together, making new homes and new memories along the way.
Above all, Judy was a woman of faith. She was a dedicated and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where her faith provided a foundation for the way she lived and loved.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, followed by a service to celebrate her life in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop David Remington officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
