GOLDSBORO, NC — Nearly eight years after the fatal shooting of Brennan Keith Hash, the Goldsboro Police Department is renewing its appeal for information in hopes of bringing closure to his family and justice in the unsolved homicide.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at approximately 8:05 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Longleaf Avenue, where they found Hash suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, Hash died from his injuries.
Detectives with the Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division launched an extensive homicide investigation that remains active today.
Although years have passed since the shooting, investigators say they continue to pursue leads and believe someone may have information that could help solve the case.
Police, alongside Hash’s family, are asking anyone with information about the homicide to come forward. Investigators emphasize that even seemingly minor details could prove crucial to the investigation.
According to the department, Hash’s death left behind three children who have grown up without their father. His family continues to seek answers and justice.
