July 18, 2026, 60, Snow Camp – David Wayne Kime, 60, of Snow Camp, North Carolina, unexpectedly left us on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
David was born on December 2, 1965 in Alamance County to Betty Tilson and the late A.G. Kime. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and brother, Timothy. He attended Southern Alamance High School. At the time of his passing, he was a 20 year veteran of American Dornier in Charlotte where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
David was a man of many interests and cherished time spent outside with family and good friends fishing, hunting, riding, and racing. Whether he was in the woods, on the water, or gathered with those he loved, David found joy in life’s simple pleasures and created lasting memories with everyone around him.
Left to cherish his memory are his faithful and devoted wife of 29 years, Lisa Sauls Kime; his mother, Betty Tilson (stepfather, Clinton); his three children, Jeremy Kime (Beverly), Jordan Thompson (Perry), and Tabata Torres Aguero (Steven); his four grandchildren; Magnolia, Olivia, Joseph, and Ashlyn who affectionately called him Pawpaw; sisters Darlene Potts, Tina Williams, and step-siblings Kathy, Angie, Robbie (Nichole), and David (LaTonya) Tilson; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, laughter, and memories they shared with him.
David will be remembered for his kind heart, love for the outdoors, unwavering devotion to his family, and the countless lives he touched through his friendship and generosity. We can all benefit from his advice, “Live every day like it’s your last, because one day it will be.” Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026 in the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
