July 18, 2026, 63, Socastee, SC – Vicki Lynn Brock, age 63, passed away at her home in Socastee, South Carolina Saturday night, July 18, 2026 after an extended illness.
She was born in Orange, Texas on October 26, 1962 to Margret Catanese (deceased) and reared by her maternal grandparents Andrew and Mable Woolbright (deceased). She is survived by her husband, John E. Brock, Sr. of Socastee, SC; her daughter, Andrea Brock of Dunn, NC; her son John E. Brock, Jr. and his fiancee, Lindsay Winner, both of Socastee, SC; two sisters, LaDonna Watters and husband, Steve of Andersonville, TN; and Winnie Lewis of Rome GA.
Miss Vicki, as she affectionately came to be known by close friends, was only in Texas for a very brief time where her family worked on oil rigs and went wherever work opportunities took them. After living in Louisiana and Illinois, she landed in Tennessee where she spent her high school years. She also achieved a goal not many others can claim. You would not know it by her manner, but she earned a Black Belt in Karate. She then moved to South Carolina in the early 1980’s where, in 1985, the Providence of God introduced her to her future husband. It was during this time that she was born again into the Kingdom of God and over the next forty years contributed as a wife and mother to the building of her home. Her Christian testimony and character increased during those years and served her well during her illness. Her love for her Lord and her trust in Him during that time were evident to all who came in contact with her. She was truly an example of what the grace of God can do in the life of an individual who will put total trust in Him even in times of great suffering and travail.
The viewing will be at FOUNDATIONS BIBLE COLLEGIATE CHURCH on Thursday, July 23 at 9:15 AM, with the funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will be immediately after the service
in the Foundations Paracleft.
