July 16, 2026, 82, Goldsboro – James Harold Daniels, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Born in Wayne County on November 18, 1943, James was the youngest of ten children born to the late Willie Benjamin Daniels and Eva Rogers Daniels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Sandy C. Daniels; his daughter, Sam Daniels; and all of his siblings.
James dedicated many years of his life to the grocery store industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature. He was also a faithful member of One Accord Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
A graveside service to celebrate James’ life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Ken Jefferson, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Dannie Williams, Shawn Daniels, and Tasha Daniels; his grandchildren, Lexi Williams and Dylan Daniels; and his stepdaughter, Carla Elaine Tino of Goldsboro, along with other extended family members and friends who will remember him with love.
