July 8, 2026, 84, Goldsboro – Mary Ellen Bartlett Smith, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Mary Ellen was born in Wayne County on July 22, 1941, to the late Abraham Lincoln Bartlett and Mary Smith Bartlett.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard A. Smith; children, Terri Smith, Joni Smith Williams and husband, Bobby, and Gary Smith; and two grandchildren, Taylor Williams and Tyler Williams.
