WAYNE CUNTY, NC – Teachers with innovative classroom ideas have an opportunity to earn funding—and possibly an extra prize—through Tri-County EMC’s Bright Ideas education grant program.
Educators who submit their Bright Ideas grant applications by the early bird deadline of August 15 will automatically be entered into a statewide drawing for one of five $100 Visa gift cards.
The final deadline to apply for a Bright Ideas grant of up to $1,000 is September 15.
The Bright Ideas program, supported by all 26 electric cooperatives in North Carolina, provides funding for creative, hands-on classroom projects that enhance student learning. Since its launch in 1994, the program has awarded nearly $17 million to classrooms across the state.
Over the past three decades, Bright Ideas grants have funded more than 16,000 educational projects, benefiting nearly 4 million students throughout North Carolina.
Tri-County EMC officials say they remain committed to investing in local education and recognize the important role teachers play in shaping the next generation.
“At Tri-County EMC, we’re proud to support educators who are shaping the future, and we believe in the power of innovative teaching to make a lasting difference in our communities,” the cooperative said.
