June 26, 2026, Goldsboro – Linwood Worth Smith, 70, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at his home. Born in Wayne County on June 30, 1955, he was the son of the late Henry Welch Smith and Ernestine Mallard Smith.
In addition to his parents, Worth was preceded in death by his sons, Matthew Coe Smith and Jared Austin Smith.
Worth is survived by his granddaughter, Autumn Renee Smith and brother, Ernest Welch Smith and wife, Donna.
Worth was a graduate of Mount Olive College. He retired from the City of Goldsboro where he worked many years as a groundskeeper.
No formal services will be held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
