June 23, 2026, 85, Goldsboro – Jean Irene “Jeanie” Rogers, 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at her home. Born in England on May 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Hilda Skipper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Graham Anthony Rogers and siblings, Alan Skipper, Percy Skipper, Phillip Skipper, Doreen Durham, and Dorothy Sirois.
Jean is survived by her son, Stephen Clinton and wife, Barbara Davis; daughter, Tammy Taylor and husband, Carl Taylor Jr.; grandchildren, Kayla Taylor and Ryan Taylor; and sister, Vera Cross.
Jean spent several years as a child care provider for many families, which she treated as her own. Always full of positive energy and a laugh that was very contagious as well. Such a happy soul and very giving person.
Jean cherished every moment shared with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Thank you for the love, wisdom, and memories you gave us. Your presence will be missed every day, but your spirit will remain with us always. GOD BLESS YOU, MOM!
A graveside service to honor Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
