GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro man is facing multiple felony charges after an investigation by the Goldsboro Police Department into allegations involving three juvenile victims.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers received a report on Jan. 19, 2026, alleging that three juveniles had been victims of sexual battery at a residence in Goldsboro.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified 55-year-old James Eric Phillips of Goldsboro as the suspect. Investigators determined Phillips allegedly committed acts of indecent liberties with a child involving all three juveniles.
Phillips has been charged with four counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child. He was arrested Tuesday, June 16, at the Goldsboro Police Department and placed under a $250,000 secured bond pending his first court appearance.
The victims are identified only as juveniles: a 13-year-old female, an 8-year-old female, and a 7-year-old female, all from Goldsboro.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims connected to similar incidents involving Phillips. The Goldsboro Police Department is encouraging anyone who believes they may have been a victim to come forward.
