June 1, 2026, 96, Goldsboro – Mrs. Atha Faye Cooke Price was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1929, and passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 96. Faye graduated from Pikeville High School in 1947 and married Lloyd Quinton Price on October 2, 1948.
Faye and Quinton lived in many states and a couple of different countries due to Quinton’s military service. She was the loving mother of five children. Faye enjoyed quilting and sewing in her free time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Quinton Price; her parents, Talmadge Delton Cooke and Minnie Mae Best Cooke; her sons, Danny Marlon Price and Timothy Steele Price; and her sisters, Evelyn Cooke Ingram and Susan Cooke Green.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Shelia Price Eanes and husband Randy of Goldsboro, North Carolina; Sharlene Price Tucker and husband Raymond of Vance, South Carolina; and Cathy Price Brunt of Garner, North Carolina, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Koinonia Sunday School class for caring for Faye, getting her to church activities and service for many years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., in the sanctuary. After the funeral service, there will be a graveside service at the Grady Family Cemetery in Seven Springs, North Carolina.
