May 27, 2026, 92, Goldsboro – Charlotte Jane Kisner, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Johnston UNC Health Care in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Born in Randolph County, West Virginia on March 16, 1934, she was daughter to the late Branem Jefferson Coberly and Margie Raines Coberly.
Having a deep love for life, Charlotte greatly valued the time she spent with her family and friends. She found her greatest joy in the kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals, baked cookies, and made homemade jelly for those she cared about. Cooking was one of the many ways she expressed her love and hospitality, and her kitchen was often a place of warmth, comfort, and togetherness.
Charlotte enjoyed quiet time with family, being outdoors and the simpler things in life. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and the love she shared so freely with others.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Bob Kisner and wife, Vicky, and John Kisner; her grandchildren, Kerrie (Levi), Jennifer (Josh), Katie (Jason) and Jonathan; her great-grandchildren, Riley, Wyatt and Mabel; her sister, Sandy Harmon; and her brother, Dave Coberly.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Kisner and her daughter-in-law, Mary Susan Kisner.
No formal services will be held.
The family is in the care of Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc.
