May 24, 2026, 79, Seven Springs – William Glenn Miller, resident of the Seven Springs area, passed away early Sunday morning, May 24, 2026, while being cared for at Duke Hospital in Durham. He was 79,
Mr. Miller, a native of Mount Olive, had served in the United States Army. His life’s work was quite varied, as was his interests and talents. He had been a truck driver, had worked for Pepsi-Cola, had been in car sales, had been a produce manager with Wal-Mart, and had been employed with Carolina Turkeys. He was a member of the Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church and was on the welcome and greeting team.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Dail. The family will receive friends during the hour before the service. Burial will take place at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro on Monday, June 1, following a committal service with military honors at 12:00 Noon.
Mr. Miller leaves behind his wife, Judy Mozingo Miller; their five children, Glenda M. Potter and partner, Tito, of Fayetteville, Ronnie Alphin and wife, Heidi, of Layton, Utah, Travis Alphin and wife, Amy, of Mount Olive, Christopher Alphin of Jacksonville, and Jackie A. Ball and husband, Eli, of Maple Hill; a brother, Travis Miller and wife, Janice, of Goldsboro; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. His family spanned five generations–what a legacy he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Douglas Miller, who died when Glenn was but a young boy; his mother, Sudie Sasser Miller; and a beloved pit bull companion, “Bolo.”
Friends and family are also being received at the residence.
