April 29, 2026, 84, Goldsboro – Lois Robbins Foy, 84, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Born on November 1, 1941, in Lenoir County, Lois was the daughter of the late Harvey and Clydie Robbins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Benton.
A woman of deep faith and servant’s heart, Lois devoted much of her life to ministry and caring for others. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for many years at Grace Baptist Church, where she poured into the lives of those around her. Using her God-given talents, she later dedicated her sewing skills to support both local needs and mission work around the world. Known for her warm hospitality, Lois’ down-home cooking brought comfort and joy to family, friends, and anyone in need. She was always ready to prepare a meal or lend a helping hand to those facing difficult times.
Lois also had a passion for teaching and nurturing young minds. She worked as a kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian Academy for 14 years, leaving a lasting impact on countless children and families. In addition, she shared her creativity through floral design while working with her son at Jeff’s Floral Creations. Later, she co-owned A & L Engraving in Goldsboro with her husband, that is carried on today by her oldest son. In her retirement years, Lois remained active in service, volunteering her time at InJoy Thrift Store.
At the time of her passing, Lois was a devoted member of Adamsville Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship with her church family.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 66 years, Alden K. Foy, Sr.; her sons, Alden Foy, Jr. and wife Pam, Jeff Foy and wife Suzanne, and Scott Foy and wife Suzanne; as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in her life.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Adamsville Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Lois’ life will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the sanctuary, with Pastors Rick Overman and Ricky Beacham officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
