A gentle senior dog with a heart full of love is looking for a second chance at happiness. This week’s WGBR Pet of the Week powered by Jackson & Sons, shines the spotlight on Bo — a 10-year-old brown boxer mix described as one of the sweetest dogs currently at the shelter.
Graham Price, Director of Animal Services, says Bo’s personality makes him stand out immediately.
“Bo is one of our seniors and he has the sweetest personality,” Price said. “He loves everyone he meets, including children.”
Despite his age, Bo remains friendly and social. According to Price, he also does well with other dogs and enjoys companionship, making him a great fit for a variety of households.
“He doesn’t deserve to be homeless just like every other animal in a shelter,” Price added. “He is especially special to us because he’s an older gentleman that is just precious and in need of a loving home.”
Bo is a 10-year-old brown boxer mix who has already been neutered and is fully vetted, meaning he’s ready to go home with an adoptive family right away. Shelter staff says all he needs now is a comfortable place to relax and someone to share his golden years.
Senior dogs like Bo often make excellent companions. They typically have calmer temperaments, are already house-trained, and simply want a loving place to call home.
Animal Services officials hope Bo’s story will encourage someone in the community to step forward and give this gentle senior the forever home he deserves.
Those interested in adopting Bo are encouraged to contact the shelter or stop by to meet him in person.
Now, Bo is ready to find his FUR-ever home.
