April 17, 2026, 61, Pikeville – Seher Akay Dixon, 61, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Turkey on October 11, 1964, she was daughter to the late Şaban Akay and Rukiye Kunduraci Akay.
Seher is survived by her husband, Robert Dixon; her daughter, Melissa Liley and husband, Steven; her son, Jonathan Dixon; her grandchildren, Kye and Conor Liley; her sister, Hatice Karahan; and her brother, Fatih Akay.
In addition to her parents, Seher is preceded in death her brothers and her sister.
A graveside service to honor Seher’s life will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
The family is in the care of Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
