April 13, 2026, 64, Goldsboro – It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of David Trujillo. David was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He touched many lives through his journey of 64 years and will be missed greatly.
After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army for several years. David worked in the poultry industry where he earned the nickname “Debone Dave”. The poultry industry gave him the opportunity to move all over the southeast United States. He was a kind and generous man and was always looking for ways to help his loved ones and his community. He was known as the life of the party everywhere he went. David could always make the people around him smile. He also had a love of horses, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. David was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Goldsboro, NC.
David was preceded in death by his father, Joaquin Trujillo, his mother, Theodora Trujillo, his sister Martha Trujillo, and his brother Joaquin Trujillo II.
David is survived by his wife, Yolanda Trujillo, his daughters, Cynthia Trujillo, Angel Trujillo, Jessica Zhou, and Maryann Blackwell, his son Josh Salazar, his son-in-laws Eric Carlton and Matthew Cockerham, his sisters, Patsy Ramirez and Eileen Trillo, and his brothers, Herman Trujillo and Raul Trujillo.
A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
