GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The American Junior Golf Association has returned to Lane Tree Golf Club for the third annual Visit Goldsboro NC Junior Championship, bringing some of the nation’s top young golfers to the area.
The open tournament will feature 78 boys and girls ages 12–19 competing in a 54-hole stroke play event. Competition begins with a qualifying round on April 16, followed by tournament play from April 17–19.
Local interest will be high as Pikeville natives Ella June and Zada Hannant compete in the championship. Ella June is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m., while Zada Hannant will tee off at 10 a.m on Friday.
The Visit Goldsboro NC Junior Championship is expected to draw talented junior golfers from across the region and beyond, providing a competitive platform for athletes looking to advance their golf careers. Events hosted by the AJGA are widely recognized for showcasing emerging talent and offering opportunities for college recruitment and national exposure.
The tournament’s return to Goldsboro for a third consecutive year highlights the community’s growing reputation as a destination for high-level junior golf competition.
