January 10, 2026, 83, Pikeville – Doris Crawford Forehand, 83, was called home on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Born on March 3, 1942 in Wayne County, she was daughter to the late Leslie Crawford and Vivian Sasser Crawford.
Doris was a devoted and faithful member of Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was actively involved for many years. She previously served as a Sunday School teacher and also taught additional classes on Wednesday evenings. Doris had a deep love for her church and church family and remained committed to serving others through her faith.
In her leisure time, she greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. She also had a fondness for thrift store shopping, finding joy in searching for unique treasures and simple pleasures. Doris was known as a kind and loyal friend, generous in spirit, and always willing to help anyone in need.
Doris is survived by her sister-in-law, Eula Rose Crawford; five step-daughters; her grandniece; two grandnephews; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her great-great grandchild; cousins, Travis Miller and wife, Janice, Glenn Miller and wife, Judy, Donald Anderson and wife, Becky and Janice Hardison; and special friend whom she thought of a son, David Heller.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Forehand; her niece and her granddaughter.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to honor Doris’ life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Charles Boyd officiating. Interment will conclude at Wayne Memorial Park.
