Born on February 15, 1943, in Faison, North Carolina, Linda was the daughter of the late Young Thomas Wilson and Agnes Barnett Wilson. She was always deeply proud of her roots and her heritage as a native of Faison, a place she held close to her heart throughout her life.
Linda dedicated many years of service working with Carolina Power and Light Company before later joining T.A. Loving Company, where she faithfully served as an administrative assistant. Known for her creativity and artistic spirit, Linda found great joy in reading, painting, making jewelry, and crafting. She was truly an artist at heart. She also took great pleasure in tending to her flowers and surrounding herself with beautiful antiques, creating spaces that reflected her warmth and creativity.
Linda had a compassionate heart, especially for animals. Many stray cats were lovingly fed and cared for by her over the years, a quiet testament to her gentle and giving nature.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.A. Wilkins, and her sisters, Carolyn Daughtry and Lois Millard.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with her pastor, Reverend Robert Whitner, officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
