GOLDSBORO, NC – The City of Goldsboro Public Works Department is making changes to select recycling and garbage collection routes in an effort to improve service efficiency.
City officials say the adjustments will affect approximately 2,500 homes. Residents impacted by the route changes have already been notified directly by the city.
The new collection routes will take effect on January 5. According to the Public Works Department, the changes are designed to streamline operations and provide more efficient service for customers across the city.
Updated 2026 solid waste calendars, along with a map of the new routes, are now available on the City of Goldsboro’s website.
Residents are encouraged to review the updated information to ensure they place their garbage and recycling carts out on the correct collection day.
