With profound sorrow and empathy, the staff and management of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Natorp and connected families to announce the earthly departure of Mrs. Cary Gregory Natorp, 69, of Kinston, NC.

Cary Diane Natorp (née Gregory), 69, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC, on May 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 12, 1955, in Milton, Massachusetts, during Hurricane Diane.

Cary was someone who made people feel at home. She was a gracious host who loved having family and friends gather around her table. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the beach with those she loved, listening to the waves and soaking in the sun. She also enjoyed a good game night — especially dominoes and cards — and could always be counted on for a little friendly competition and a lot of laughter.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Natorp; her sister, Janet Gregory Dailey; her brothers, Alan Gregory (wife Cathy) and H. Davis Gregory (wife Debbie); her children: Dennis Mikkola (wife Andrea), Stacy Natorp Dounias (husband Jimmy), and Jillian Natorp Berntsen (husband Chris); her bonus daughter, Celia Fripp (husband Shayn); and her grandchildren: Madison, Callie, Mackenzie, and Lainie Mikkola , Nathaniel Bedford, Damian and Ella Berntsen.

In accordance with Cary’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Cary will be remembered for her warmth, her love of simple joys, and the deep care she showed to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
