Charles Nixon Anderson (Pa) was born March 19, 1943 to parents William (Billy) and Mittie Anderson. He passed quietly on May 5th, 2025 surrounded by family. He was a jack of all trades with careers as a Plumber, a Master Sewing Machine Mechanic and then running his own Heating & Air business later in life. He was known to be able to fix anything and often the first call of many friends and family when something needed fixing. Pa was famous for his BBQ and chocolate cake and enjoyed cooking and baking for his family. He spent a big part of his life and retirement fishing and creating a large collection of “fish stories” that he and Donnie Wiggs enjoyed sharing and making others laugh.
A celebration of life will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Committal services will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Anderson, children; Vicky Anderson, Wanda Kearney, Tracy Anderson (Jennifer), and Jamie Anderson (Tiffany), grandchildren; Spencer Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Courtney Chou, James (Trey) Kearney III, Cameron Anderson, Jackson Anderson, William Anderson and Caroline Anderson, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Clarence Anderson, Bobby Anderson and Glen (Buck) Anderson and special family friends Donnie and Jo Ann Wiggs. He is preceded in death by his brothers, William (Thomas) Anderson, Ralph Anderson; sister, Edith Outlaw; half siblings Lester Anderson, Carl Anderson and Liam Anderson.
