Raymond Glenn Rains, 67, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County on June 24, 1953, he was the son of the late Hillery Rains and Norma Eason Rains.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Gail Rains. Glenn is survived by his wife, Karen G. Rains; daughter, Hillary Taylor and husband, Jeshua; granddaughters, Ashlyn Taylor and Gemma Taylor; and brothers, George Alton Rains and wife, Dottie and Gary Rains and wife Teresa.

Glenn retired from the advertising department of the Goldsboro News-Argus. He was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

A service to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Baer, Jr. and Rev. Harold Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
