2nd Arrest Made In Bright Street Body Case

Another arrest has been made in the case of the deceased person found on Bright Street last week.

The Goldsboro Police Department says it obtained a warrant for the charge of Murder on 31-year-old Tamarcus Shaquan Ellis of Goldsboro on Thursday.  Ellis, also known as “Mark-B,” had left the area but was apprehended in Baltimore County, Maryland on Friday.  Ellis is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina for the Murder charge.

On May 24th, a body was found on the 300 block of Bright Street in Goldsboro.  The Goldsboro Police Department believes the deceased person to be 38-year-old Heather Diane Stewart of Goldsboro, but positive identification is still needed from the State Medical Examiner’s Office and North Carolina State Crime Laboratory.

29-year-old Willie Lee Langston, Jr. of La Grange was already arrested for the charge of Murder in this case.

The GPD says the investigation is continuing and charges against additional suspects are possible.
