Partnership’s Touch A Truck Is This Saturday

The Partnership for Children of Wayne County holds it Touch A Truck fundraiser this weekend.

Valerie Wallace, the Executive Director of the Partnership for Children, says they’re looking forward to the event especially since last year’s event had to be canceled due to the pandemic.

This year, Wallace encourages attendees to participate at their comfort level, and wear masks or bring hand sanitizer if that helps them feel safer.

Wallace says there is a full slate of organizations bringing their equipment to show off to kids and their families this year.

Funds raised will be used for things like cleaning supplies and protective equipment in Wayne County’s child care facilities.

The 4th Annual Touch a Truck event is being held Saturday, May 22nd from 9 AM – 2 PM at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.

Quiet hours for children and adults with sensory needs will be from 9 – 11 AM.

The entry fee is $5 and kids 2-and-under are free.
