Ann Lancaster Evans, 81, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Wayne County on August 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Norman Wesley Lancaster and Patsy Mae Howell Lancaster.

Ann loved life and her family and was always there to help and care for those she loved. She will be remembered as an avid fisherwoman, she loved to wet a line and usually out-fished the men.

Ann will lie in state from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family respectfully requests those attending the service wear a face covering and practice social distancing measures.

Ann is survived by her husband, Bobby Lee Evans; daughters, Teresa Walker and husband, Garth of Oak Island and Sandra Hooker of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Matthew Hooker of Gibsonville and Anna Walker of Raleigh; sister, Priscilla Head; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, N.W. Lancaster and Chris Lancaster; and sisters, Marlene Lancaster and Peggy Gurley.
