Progress…but the City of Goldsboro is still waiting for its financial audit.

John Frank from accounting firm Dixon, Hughes, Goodman, LLP gave an update on the 2018-2019 Fiscal Year audit at Monday’s Goldsboro City Council meeting.

Frank says the progress includes providing the city’s finance department with a preliminary draft of the finance statement.

He adds the audit should be completed in the next 30 days.

The delayed audit has resulted in Goldsboro losing its bond rating, therefore harming the city’s ability to borrow money.
