Wayne County Opens Vaccinations To Group 3

Wayne County Opens Vaccinations To Group 3

Starting Wednesday, March 3, the Wayne County Health Department will open vaccination appointments to everyone eligible under Group 3 of the state’s vaccination eligibility guidelines. Group 3 includes teachers, child care workers, critical manufacturing, essential goods, food and agriculture, government and community services, health care and public health, public safety, or transportation.

If you are in an eligible group, you can visit www.waynegov.com/vaccine to schedule an appointment for your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The NC Department of Health and Human Services has announced that we will be able to move to Group 4 on March 24, 2021. To find out what group you are in, visit findmygroup.nc.gov.

As Wayne County continues to call individuals from its call center to schedule doses, the county has been made aware that some networks display its number as spam. The County is working on a solution for this problem, but urge you to answer the phone if you are waiting for a call about a vaccine. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit www.waynegov.com/vaccine.
