Eastern Wayne could not hold onto its lead during a 57-56 loss against Ayden-Grifton on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors held a 42-36 lead at the end of the third quarter, but in the fourth quarter, Ayden-Grifton outscored the Warriors 21-14 to escape with the victory.
Nay Jones paced Eastern Wayne with 17 points, Jada Kent added 13 points, while Jada Hamilton scored 12 points.
Eastern Wayne (1-5 overall) returns to the hardwood on Thursday at South Central.
