January 20, 2021, 66, Goldsboro –

Deborah Jo Waters Purdy, age 66, was born in Cumberland County to Calvin Glenn Waters and the late Carolyn Lee Epps Waters and was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ray Lockamy. She graduated from Cape Fear High School and was a member of Whitley Church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at 12 noon in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Dennis LaVern Purdy; sons, Delphus Lockamy and Michael Purdy; a daughter, Donna Sue Myatt; a brother, Michael Waters; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
