Donnie Merle Pipkin, 50, formerly of Rosewood passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home in Wisconsin.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on his 51st birthday, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Donnie was born in Wayne County on December 31, 1969 to the late Victor Gray and Callie McKeel Pipkin.

He was a valued employee for many years with Sears and Best Distributing of Goldsboro before owning and operating Rosewood Tax Service for 12 years. He was a member of the Bridge Church in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Pipkin; one son, Jacob Pipkin of Goldsboro; one step-son, Christopher Crow of Goldsboro: one step-daughter, Alexandria Crow of Goldsboro; Josh Stover, who he loved like his own; three brothers, Rodney Pipkin Sr. of Pikeville, Ronnie Pipkin and wife, Viola of Kenly and Johnny Pipkin of Goldsboro; two sisters, Darlene Pipkin Stafford and husband, Joseph of Goldsboro, Brenda Carter of Dudley and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pipkin was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Douglas Carter.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
