Christopher Curtis Hollingsworth

December 25, 2020, 40, Seven Springs

Christopher Curtis Hollingsworth passed away on December 25, 2020. Curtis was born in Onslow County to the late Chris Hollingsworth, and Anthony “Tony” Dail and Connie Tucker Dail on July 25, 1980.

Growing up, Curtis was all boy. Full of energy and rather stubborn, he did what he wanted when he wanted, and there was no stopping him. Even as an adult, Curtis’s favorite sayings were, “I know” and “You don’t even know.” He was always right and he always knew best.

He enjoyed any and all outdoor activities. From four-wheeling to camping, and boating to fishing, Curtis was always on the go. He passed down his love of outdoor sports to his daughter, Keely, and the two enjoyed them together. Keely was the apple of his eye and 100 percent a daddy’s girl.

Curtis was fun-loving, generous, and dependable. If you needed anything at all, all you had to do was call him on the phone and he would be right there. He went out of his way to help anyone who needed it.

A great cook, Curtis was the hog cooker for family reunions, and no one could make a better shrimp stew or sausage and beans.

A service to celebrate and remember Curtis’s life will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, Curtis is survived by the person he loved more than anything in the world, his beloved daughter, Keely; his sister, Christy Gaul and husband, Mike; his niece, Hailey Gaul; his grandparents, Georgia and Harlen Fokerts; as well as several special uncles, aunts, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward Curtis’s memorial fund in the care of Rouse Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
