Jimmie Wayne Joyner, 27, walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 27.

Jimmie was born in Pitt County to his parents, Bobby and Jill, on January 24, 1993. He was a valued employee of Baker Cleaning Services. Jimmie was most comfortable outdoors, on the water or on a motorcycle. He was an avid lover of motorcycles, cars and trucks. You could always find Jimmie working on something trying to make it run better.

Jimmie had a wonderful sense of humor and never took himself too seriously. He always had a smile on his face. He was a good friend, a great son and had a generous heart. His most significant role in life and what he did best was being a loving son and best friend to his mother, Jill.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. in Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, NC.

Jimmie is survived by his loving mother, Jill Smith Linkous and husband Jonathan; father, Bobby Wayne Joyner; maternal grandmother, Debbie Head Abramowitz and husband Michael; paternal grandparents, Bill and Connie Joyner; maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Smith; step great-grandmother, Janet Jones; aunts, Ginger Madrigal and husband Danny; uncles, Mark Smith and Billy Joyner; cousin and life-long friend, Colby Joyner; and many friends that were like family to him. He is also survived by his cat, Tom, whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Edward “Bobby” Smith; paternal grandmother, Brenda Parrish; maternal great-grandparents, Edith and Jimmie Head; paternal great-grandparents, Ervin and Rebecca Jones; and uncle Robert Edward “Robbie” Smith Jr.
