Mrs. Cleo Anderson Grady, 96-year-old beloved resident of the Rhodes community, Mount Olive, went to her heavenly home Tuesday evening, November 24, 2020.

One who loved and served her Lord and Savior, her family, and her church, she loved deeply and was loved deeply. A faithful, long-time member of Rhodes Friends Meeting of which she was the oldest living member at the time of her passing, she served in many capacities through the years. It is remembered that she was a choir member, a Sunday school teacher, an elder, church historian, a member of the church’s Ladies Missionary Society, clerk of the church’s monthly meeting, and was a representative to both the quarterly and yearly Friends Meetings.

Too, she was a Woodmen of the World member and was known for her care-giving skills as she had faithfully cared for her husband and parents, as well as other members of her family and those within her community.

Being a homemaker and farmer’s wife, she also was co-owner, along with her husband, of Grady’s Fertilizer Warehouse where she served as bookkeeper. It is worthy to note that she graduated from the old Grantham School.

Mrs. Cleo Grady was one of the finest ladies around. Because of the Covid virus, her family will have a private burial service at Wayne Memorial Park. In due time, a service of remembrance will be held at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made to Rhodes Friends Meeting, c/o Mrs. Rhae McClenny, 789 Emmaus Church Road, Dudley NC 28333.
