Nancy Harper Satterfield, 73, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born in Lenoir County, NC on March 6, 1947 to the late Warren L. (Bud) Harper and Frances Rouse Harper. She worked for many years with First Citizens Bank. Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very active in the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Nancy was also member of the Salvation Army Ladies Auxiliary and a retired member of the Sandy Bottom Volunteer Fire Department in Kinston.

A private celebration of life service for Nancy will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. Glenn Phillips and Rev. Becky Bradley officiating. A private interment will be in Harper Family Cemetery in Lenoir County with Dr. Rev. Glenn Phillips and Jimmy Stroud officiating.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Benton E. Satterfield; sons, Brian R. Whitfield of Kinston and Clifton W. Whitfield and wife Sarah of Washington, NC; daughter, Laura S. Rouse and husband Scott of Goldsboro; sisters, Barbara H. Novicki and husband Mike of Goldsboro, Susan H. Glover and husband Billy of Kinston and Frances H. Gooden and husband Michael of Morehead City; grandchildren, Ben Rouse, Hallie Rouse, Annsleigh Rouse, Layla Whitfield, Mayah Webster, Summer Whitfield and Austen Whitfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530 to be used for the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the stained window project or Heart of Carolina Emmaus, % Jim & Ruthie Borrell, 116 Steeplechase Way, Southern Pines, NC 28387..
