Michael Joe Anderson, 49, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Michael was born in Wayne County on September 23, 1971 to the late Robert Anderson and Sara Pate Daw. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and was working as a managing principal with Life Cycle Engineering. Michael served his country in the United States Army and with the North Carolina National Guard. Those of you who knew Michael weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances and reflect deeply on how much he meant to us.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate his life at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Bill Rose officiating.

Michael is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dawn Anderson; children, Caitlin Anderson and Evan Anderson; sisters, Teresa Smith and husband Dok and Carma Brown and husband Greg; and brother, Jay Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be given in his memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
