Deadline Extended For City’s Small Business COVID-19 Grants

Deadline Extended For City’s Small Business COVID-19 Grants

Small businesses in Goldsboro are urged to apply for the city’s COVID-19 Grant Program.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City created a grant program to provide up to approximately 30 small businesses with grants of $2,500 or $5,000, for a total of $100,000 in immediate relief.

Craig Foucht, the Executive Director of the Business and Industry Center at Wayne Community College, appeared on Jeff Farrow’s Morning Show on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3.

Foucht says the city has partnered with the Business and Industry Center for the grant program.

He says there will be a randomized lottery system for selecting the grant winners.

Foucht says all eligible applicants will receive a financial analysis even if they are not selected for a grant.

The application deadline has been extended until October 16th at 5 PM.

These grants are funded by money allotted to the City through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

The application is available at https://www.goldsboronc.gov/city-manager/goldsboro-small-business-relief-program-application/.
