Wayne Christian School Expansion Approved

A Wayne County private school gets the go-ahead for expansion.

This month, the Goldsboro City Council approved the Daniels and Daniels Construction Company project for the classroom and parking lot addition at Wayne Christian School on Patetown Road between Kearney Lane and W. New Hope Road.

Goldsboro Planning Director Jennifer Collins explained the project to the council.

According to the site plan, the expansion includes a single story, 3,165 square foot building of wood-framed construction to be used for STEM classrooms for high school students.

The applicant will add 18 parking spaces for the new classrooms.

Following approval by the Goldsboro City Council, Wayne Christian School broke ground for the new STEM building last week.
