A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Wayne County. According to the National Weather Service, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Smithfield to Howellsville and were moving east at 60 mph around 8 AM.  Expect considerable tree damage and some damage to mobile homes, roofs and outbuildings.  Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.  The Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 9 AM.  A Tornado Watch and Wind Advisory are also in effect.
