Saturday morning, firefighters from Grantham, Thoroughfare, Smith Chapel and Dudley took part in a live burn training exercise hosted by the Grantham Fire Department. The training gave firefighters a chance to work with multiple sizes of attack lines on structure fires. A county EMS unit was on standby at the scene in case the firefighters needed assistance. The firefighting ground operation lasted about five hours.
