Shirley Faye Haywood Gunnet, 94, passed away on Saturday at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Shirley was born in Kill Devil Hills on March 27, 1927, to the late Manie and Gladys M. Haywood. She was married to the late Edgar L. Gunnet. They had lived with their family for many years in Spring Grove, PA.
No formal services will be held at this time.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Jeff Gunnet and wife Debbie of York, PA, Kevin Gunnet and wife Lois of York, PA, and Keith R. Gunnet and wife Susan of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; niece, Carol Tolson and two great-nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Gunnet, and her sister, Nina Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
