Wayne County, NC – Due to projected winter weather, all Wayne County Government offices will be closing at 4 p.m. today, December 8, 2025. Offices will delay opening until 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Wayne County is expected to receive rain transitioning to a wintry mix this evening. Very cold temperatures overnight will allow any remaining moisture on roads and sidewalks to freeze, resulting in patches of black ice through tomorrow morning.
