Residents near O’Berry Road and Thigpen Dairy Road west of Mount Olive were assessing the damage caused by the violent storms that swept through Wayne County Monday morning. Goldsboro Daily News photographer Bobby Williams shot these pictures within just a few miles of that intersection. The storms knocked over trees and caused damage to a few homes. Some of the residents were left wondering if a tornado or straight line winds were responsible for the damage.
