November 2, 2026, 89, Goldsboro – Ella Mae Hooker, 89, of Goldsboro, NC, left her earthly home on November 2, 2026. Born February 21, 1937, in New London, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances Crandall. Ella Mae had resided at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Goldsboro for the last 3 ½ years.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2018 and brothers, Gerald and Merle.
She is survived by her son, Philip of Kalispell, MT and daughter, Lori of Bridgewater, VA; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
Ella Mae’s wish was to be cremated and there will be no formal service. Professional services are in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, NC.
“To be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord”.
